A voter registration myth… Registering to vote will get me jury duty!
FALSE! It’s simply not true because jury duty selection is pulled from the D.M.V. (Department of Motor Vehicles) records so if you are a U.S. Citizen, then you have the same chance as any other U.S. Citizen who is not registered to vote!
In order to become a Registered Voter you must be:
- United States Citizen
- 18 by the next Election Day
- California Resident
- Not in prison or on parole
